This Division supports the responsibility to "support and participate in alcohol education and prevention, providing information and resources that promote responsibility..." This funding will support local alcohol prevention coalitions or treatment coalitions throughout North Carolina who want to incorporate evidence based programs in their communities to reduce underagedrinking. Mini grant funding will give these coalitions a way to fund their programs or events that would not take place otherwise. These programs and events will include (sample) activities such as Coalition-Building, Youth/Adult Leadership Activities, College/High School Conferences, Media Campaigns, Development and Dissemination of Educational Materials, Responsible Alcohol Retailing.
