Overview: Section 22 of S.L. 2026-11 (Senate Bill 401) repealed the Farmed Cervid Industry Promotion Act, which allowed the North Carolina Deer and Elk Farmers Association to impose an assessment of up to $4.00 per ton of farmed cervid feed for promotion of the interests of the farmed cervid industry.
This section became effective June 22, 2026.
