Overview: S.L. 2017-57, Sec. 10.26 provides tuition grants for one academic year to each State resident who graduates from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) at the end of the 2017-2018 academic year and who enrolls as a full-time student in a constituent institution of The University of North Carolina for the 2018-2019 academic year. The tuition grants will be administered by the State Education Assistance Authority (SEAA).

The tuition grants cannot exceed the cost of attendance at the constituent institution at which the student is enrolled, and will be reduced by the amount of scholarships or other grants covering the cost of attendance at the constituent institution for the student so that the tuition grant does not exceed the cost of attendance.

This section became effective July 1, 2017.
