S119 - GSC Technical Corrections 2015, Sec. 32.5: Reciprocal Attorneys' Fees Provisions in Business Contracts (SL 2015-264)

Overview: Sec. 32.5 of S.L. 2015-264 amends application of the phrase "sign by hand" in business-to-business contracts containing reciprocal provisions for reimbursement of attorneys' fees so that certain electronic signatures qualify. It also resolves an apparent conflict between two provisions dealing with a cap on awards of attorneys' fees.

This section became effective October 1, 2015.
