Overview: Section 5 of S.L. 2025-18 (House Bill 251) automatically modifies or waives rules for the regulations of hospitals to conform to corresponding federal rule waivers or modifications in an emergency area during times of declared emergencies. The waiver or modification remains in effect at least until the corresponding federal waiver or modification expires. The Division of Health Service Regulation, Department of Health and Human Services, is not prohibited from further waiving or modifying any rules.

This section became effective June 26, 2025.
