Overview: Section 10.1 of S.L. 2025-97 (Senate Bill 449) appropriates $4 million in nonrecurring funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year from the Highway Fund to the Department of Transportation, Ferry Division (Ferry Division) to satisfy United States Coast Guard dry dock requirements. It also appropriates $3 million in nonrecurring funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year from the Highway Fund to the Ferry Division for marine vessel maintenance and operations. The Ferry Division is required to submit a report, no later than January 1, 2026, to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee and the Fiscal Research Division on the use of the funds appropriated by this section for marine vessel dry docking.
This section is effective retroactive to July 1, 2025.
