H926 - Regulatory Reform Act of 2025. (SL 2025-94)

Overview: Section 5 of S.L. 2025-94 (House Bill 926) expands the availability of culinary permits issued by the ABC Commission, which allow a hotel, restaurant, or cooking school to have fortified wine or spirituous liquor in the kitchen for culinary purposes, to the following:

• Food businesses, which are businesses that sell food primarily to be eaten off‑premises.
• Eating establishments, which are businesses that sell food to be eaten on premises, but are not large enough to qualify as a restaurant.

This section became effective October 6, 2025.
