Overview: Section 6.11 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257), as amended by Section 3.4 of S.L. 2026-61 (House Bill 268), removes various performance measures on which the State Board of Community Colleges (SBCC) must evaluate community colleges. The SBCC must allocate performance-based funds to community colleges that have successful institutional performance on the progress of basic skills students.
Section 6.11 of S.L. 2026-41 became effective July 1, 2026, and Section 3.4 of S.L. 2026-61 became effective August 11, 2026.
