Overview: Section 8A.2 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) requires household members of applicants for Opportunity Scholarships or Personal Education Student Accounts to authorize the State Education Assistance Authority (SEAA) to access social security numbers and other unique verifiers that are needed to verify the applicant's domicile. Additionally, SEAA can adopt rules for contracting with a third-party vendor to facilitate the verification of an applicant's domicile or other application information.
