Overview: Section 20.8 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) eliminates the Criminal Justice Information Network Governing Board (Board). The balances of appropriations, allocations, or other funds for the Board, any other remaining resources, and certain responsibilities and reporting requirements of the Board are transferred from the Department of Public Safety to the State Bureau of Investigation.
