Overview: Section 16.8 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) requires the Human Trafficking Commission to submit a report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety providing an update on its progress in using funds appropriated in S.L. 2026-41 to develop a comprehensive State assessment of human trafficking data and efforts to combat human trafficking. This report must be submitted by September 1, 2027.
