Overview: Section 16.21 of S.L. 2026‑41 (Senate Bill 257) increases certain costs assessed for the support of the General Court of Justice in criminal and civil actions.
Section 16.21(a) of S.L. 2026‑41 and Section 1(a) of S.L. 2026‑37 are substantively identical.
This section becomes effective December 1, 2026, and applies to costs assessed on or after that date.
