Overview: Section 19.11 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) modifies the appointment requirements for juvenile forensic evaluators by requiring that the forensic evaluator is employed by, or under contract with a Local Management Entity/ Managed Care Organization (LME/MCO) and is paid by the LME/MCO with public funds.
This section becomes effective December 1, 2026, and applies to forensic evaluators appointed on or after that date.
