Overview: Section 9D.2 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) requires the Division of Child Development and Early Education of the Department of Health and Human Services to submit a report on how unused slots are reallocated in the NC Prekindergarten program to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services and the Fiscal Research Division. The report must be submitted by March 1, 2027.
