Overview: Section 35.4 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) requires the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, no later than March 1 annually, to report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on General Government, the House Appropriations Committee on General Government, the Senate Appropriations Committee on General Government and Information Technology, and the Fiscal Research Division on which counties received funds from the Department for maintenance and operation of a county veterans services program and the dollar amount that each county received from the Department for the program in the previous calendar year.
This section became effective July 1, 2026.
