S257 - 2026 Appropriations Act. (SL 2026-41)
Session Year 2024
Overview: Section 9E.3 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) clarifies that, unless otherwise specified, the Department of Health and Human Services must only maintain the Medicaid program changes in Subpart E of this act until June 30, 2027. This duration limitation also applies to uncodified language that became law in 2023 requiring certain Medicaid reimbursements to ambulatory surgical centers for a specific dental service. Because that modification to the Medicaid program became law in a bill that was not the budget, it did not contain the standard duration limitation language typically appearing in budget bills, and this section corrects that omission.
This section became effective July 1, 2026.
