H1104 - Improve IVC Process and Enhance Public Safety. (SL 2026-38)

Overview: Section 4 of S.L. 2026-38 (House Bill 1104) directs the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to evaluate the standardized training program for involuntary commitment (IVC) examiners for necessary improvements and to incorporate additional training for IVC first examiners who work in county jails.
DHHS must submit a report on the standardized training program to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services and the Fiscal Research Division by December 1, 2026.
This section became effective on July 6, 2026.
