Overview: Sec. 1 of S.L. 2020-56 repeals the requirement that the Board of Governors monitor the following human resources actions taken at constituent institutions or The University of North Carolina System Office: (i) nonlegislative annual employee salary increases of 5% or more granted to employees that have annual salaries of $100,000 or more, or would have salaries at or above $100,000 after the salary increase and (ii) new personnel positions created having annual salaries of $70,000 or more.
