H97 - 2015 Appropriations Act, Sec. 8.43: Certain Cooperative Innovative High Schools Operating Without Additional Funds (SL 2015-241)

Overview: Sec. 8.43 of S.L. 2015-241 authorizes, beginning with the 2015-2016 school year and subsequent school years, the following schools to operate as Cooperative Innovative High Schools (CIHSs), notwithstanding statutory requirements for authorization and funding of CIHSs:

• Academy at High Point Central.
• Academy at Ben L. Smith High School.
• STEM Early College at NC A&T State University.
• Middle College at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
• Vernon Malone College and Career Academy.
• Northeast Regional School of Biotechnology and Agriscience.

These schools are subject to the evaluation requirements for CIHSs.
