A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to permit the town of north topsail beach to use occupancy tax proceeds to retire debt incurred for beach nourishment projects.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Section 5.1 of Part V of S.L. 2001-439 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:
"SECTION 5.1.(d) North Topsail Beach may issue special obligation bonds pursuant to G.S. 159I-30 for projects for beach nourishment, as defined in subsection (c) of this section."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
