A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to clarify that the north carolina board of massage and bodywork therapy does not have the authority to establish fees related to the approval of massage and bodywork therapy schools.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 90-626(8) is repealed.

SECTION 2.  The North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy shall not establish, charge, or collect any fee related to the approval of massage and bodywork therapy schools without specific statutory authority.

SECTION 3.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2004.
