AN ACT to impose a 25 mile per hour speed restriction on public vehicular areas in the town of bermuda run.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

SECTION 1.  It shall be unlawful to operate a vehicle in excess of 25 miles per hour on a public vehicular area in the Town of Bermuda Run.

SECTION 2.  A violation of Section 1 of this act is a violation of G.S. 20‑141(a).

SECTION 3.  Speed restrictions under this act are not effective until signs giving notice of the speed restrictions are erected upon the public vehicular areas affected. All signs designed, manufactured, and erected as authorized in this act shall conform with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, published by the United States Department of Transportation, and any supplement to that Manual adopted by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

SECTION 4.  For purposes of this act, the term "public vehicular area" is as defined in G.S. 20‑4.01(32).

SECTION 5.  This act only applies to the Town of Bermuda Run.

SECTION 6.  This act becomes effective December 1, 2019, and applies to offenses committed on or after that date.
