SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 718

A JOINT RESOLUTION CONFIRMing THE APPOINTMENT OF Adrian A. Phillips TO THE NORTH CAROLINA INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION.

Whereas, G.S. 97‑77(a1) provides that appointments by the Governor to the North Carolina Industrial Commission are subject to confirmation by the General Assembly; and

Whereas, the Governor wishes to appoint Adrian A. Phillips of Alamance County to a term on the North Carolina Industrial Commission as a commissioner representing employees; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Adrian A. Phillips of Alamance County to a term on the North Carolina Industrial Commission, to begin on May 1, 2021, and expire on April 30, 2027, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 3^rd day of June, 2021.
